Chuck Ramsey:
Camp
Director

the New York Jets All-Time Team
*All-American at Wake Forest University

Punter Drafted in the 1974 NFL Draft
Mr.
Ramsey has many years of experience running football camps and
grooming high school players for the college game. At Wake
Forest University, from 1970 to 1973, Mr. Ramsey was the consummate
athlete, starting at punter, kicker, and quarterback for the Demon
Deacons. His stellar senior season produced award after award as
he was named consensus NCAA All-American, leading the nation in
punting with a 44.8 yard average. After showcasing his talents
in a record five post-season all-star games (Blue-Gray game,
North-South Shrine game, East-West Shrine game, Hula Bowl, and coaches
All-America game), Mr. Ramsey became the 1st kicker drafted in the
1974 NFL Draft. He chose to play a season in the World Football
League with the Chicago Fire before finishing his career with the New
York Jets. For eight seasons, Mr. Ramsey handled all the
punting duties while playing backup QB and place-kicker for the Jets.
In 2003, he was selected as the punter for the New York Jets All-Time
Team. At West High School, (Knoxville, TN) Mr. Ramsey played
football, basketball, ran track, and was the school's #1 tennis
player. His All-State quarterbacking and punting earned him a
full ride to Wake Forest. |

Jan Chapman: Coach

Coach
Chapman knows what college coaches are looking for and he knows how
the system works. He recruits high school athletes, constantly
working with them to clear the numerous hurdles that are NCAA
requirements. Coach Chapman is entering his 44th year coaching
football, the last 25 at Southwestern Community College. After
his days of playing quarterback at the University of San Diego, he had
a brief playing career with the San Diego Chargers. Coach
Chapman began coaching football, basketball and track in 1962.
At Arkansas City High School in Kansas, Mr. Chapman earned All-State
honors at quarterback in 1953. In 1958, Mr. Chapman was thrust
into the spotlight as the National Junior College Javelin Champion.
His success on the playing field and on the sidelines lead to his 1995
induction into the University of San Diego Athletic Hall of Fame.
Coach Chapman was also recently honored by his induction into the
Cowley County Community College Athletic Hall of Fame in Arkansas
City, Kansas, Class of 2005. |

Chuck Roper:
Scholarship Coordinator

Mr.
Roper has been training high school football players and preparing
them for college-level competition since 1997. He is
instrumental, not only in the athletic development of his
understudies, but also in connecting prep athletes with college
coaches across the country. His passion for helping athletes
achieve their goals on and off the field lead to the creation of Next
Level Prep. Mr. Roper scouts players and analyzes a combination
of the academic and athletic accomplishments of NLP Athletes to give
them the greatest possible exposure to college coaches, thereby
generating more scholarship opportunities than would otherwise be
possible. Mr. Roper has trained with numerous NFL athletes and
also appeared in the movie North Dallas Forty. At East Henderson
High School, Chuck Roper broke the school record for receiving yards
in a season and earned All-State honors as a punter and wide receiver. |

Darren Brown:
Kicking Instructor

experience working with high school kickers
Mr. Brown is
responsible for the accounting, legal (once he passes the bar this
July), and marketing aspects of NLP. He created the web site and
most of its content thanks in large part to his undergraduate degree
in computer science. Besides kicking for four years at Wofford
College, he volunteered weekly in the Spartanburg community and also
served as Chairman of the Wofford College Judicial Court. While
attending one of the top 15 law schools in the country (UT), Mr. Brown
kicked for the Austin Rockers and the Beaumont Drillers of the NIFL.
At East Henderson High School, he earned nine varsity letters playing
football, soccer, and baseball. His accomplishments in the
classroom and on the football field lead to a scholarship at Wofford
College, where he broke school and Southern Conference records in
route to NCAA Division 1-AA All-American honors. |
